Paris, January 25, 2024, A graduate of École Polytechnique and École Normale Supérieure de Lyon, and formerly Senior Data Scientist at Advestis (Mazars Group), Perceval Desforges has been appointed Investment Risk and Data Manager, combining the roles of Senior Portfolio Quantitative Researcher and Investment Risk Manager at IVO Capital Partners. His recruitment is part of the company’s growth strategy and team structuring, in line with the recruitment efforts undertaken in 2023.
Since its creation in 2012, the independent French asset management firm IVO Capital Partners has developed expertise based on information-rich investment universes that are broad, heterogeneous, and technically complex. Beyond risk modeling, a significant part of Perceval’s responsibilities will involve developing and enhancing risk calculation tools and data analysis methods tailored to its specific and demanding investment universes.
A demanding and scientific approach to management
A graduate of the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon and the École Polytechnique, where he also taught while completing his PhD in Physics in 2021, Perceval Desforges possesses a sharp and multidisciplinary technical background and experience in both data science and financial consulting. With extensive experience in both research and industry, he previously worked as a Senior Data Scientist at Advestis (acquired by Mazars), where he notably developed machine learning models for predicting stock returns and implemented data pipelines for automating performance attribution calculations.
